New story out in SLICE Magazine
Happy to share that “Independence Day,” a short story about a teenaged girl and her father on a sometimes funny, sometimes fraught outing in 1990’s Bangalore, now has a home here, in SLICE Magazine’s Issue 26: Persistence.
Short essay about life in Covid times
The Bare Life Review just posted my essay “We Had Time” on their website. Last year they published my story “Final Exam” in the print issue of their magazine. I loved the care and attention they gave to editing my work, so when I received their invitation to contribute to a special blog series on the coronavirus pandemic, I was eager to send them something, though I wasn’t sure what. A couple of days later, this little piece of reflection unspooled from me.
Welcome!
In the past year I’ve been working to finish my first short story collection, tentatively titled The Western Tailor. You can find your way to some of these stories here.
